Droid 4 specs and photos leaked

Motorola’s upcoming Droid 4 has just gotten a little more official. Thanks to newly-leaked images, we’ve got a full spec sheet and a good look at its RAZR-esque styling.
While previous images had shown off the Droid 4′s face and slide-out QWERTY keyboard, the back had yet to be revealed. As you can see now, while the chassis sports the same gently-angled corners as the RAZR, it’s not clad in the same carbon fiber-look kevlar. Rather, it’s a more mundane textured plastic on the back of the Droid 4. The camera hump is similar, though the 8MP shooter, LED flash, and speaker have been re-positioned.
As expected, the Droid 4 is also shipping with a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, and support for Verizon’s LTE network — just like the RAZR. It’s also dockable and ships with Android 2.3 Gingerbread pre-installed, though an upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich in the new year is all but certain.
A few of the Droid 4′s features differ from the RAZR. The most obvious, of course, is its edge-lit slide-out QWERTY keyboard. The Droid 4 also sports a smaller display: a 4-inch qHD touchscreen as opposed to the 4.3-inch Super AMOLED unit found on the Droid RAZR. The Droid 4 also includes a battery that is ever-so-slightly more capacious: 1785mAh vs. 1780mAh. That’s not enough to make an appreciable difference, but the Droid 4 will need a little extra juice to light up those keys.
Just last week, word slipped out that the latest successor to the Droid QWERTY throne would be landing on Verizon come December 8th. Pricing has yet to be revealed, but at least now you know exactly what you’ll be getting if you pick up this bad boy in a couple weeks.
